Women's Basketball: Bussie on ESPNU

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Incoming West Virginia University women’s basketball freshman Asya Bussie, a 6-4 senior center at Seton Keough High in Baltimore, Md., and her team, will be competing in the ESPN RISE National High School Invitational this weekend. Seton Keough takes on Oak Hill Academy (21-6) at 6:30 p.m. on ESPNU, tomorrow, April 4.
Should Seton Keough defeat Oak Hill it will take on the winner of St. Frances (26-3) and Riverdale Baptist (26-2) at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 5, on ESPN2.
Bussie, a McDonald’s All-American nominee, guided Seton Keough to a 23-8 record this past season. She scored 22 points and grabbed 14 rebounds in Keough’s 58-38 IAAM tournament final victory over St. Frances.
Bussie is part of a Mountaineer recruiting class that is ranked in the Top 20 nationally by several recruiting services. Bussie was rated the 14th-best post player and 47th-best overall player by ESPN.com. She’s also rated the 28th-best player in the nation by Blue Star and 55th-best player by All Star Girl’s Report.
