MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia’s Devin Ebanks was named Big East player of the week for his performances in victories over Ole Miss and Seton Hall last week.
The 6-foot-9 sophomore scored 14 points and grabbed 13 rebounds in West Virginia’s 76-66 win over the Rebels last Wednesday, and then followed that performance up with career-high 22 points and 17 rebounds in the Mountaineers’ 90-84 overtime win at Seton Hall last Saturday.
Ebanks presently shows averages of 13.2 points and 9.0 rebounds per game.
West Virginia (10-0) is one of six remaining undefeated teams in the country. The Mountaineers remain No. 6 in both polls this week and play host to 9-3 Marquette Tuesday night at the WVU Coliseum in Morgantown.
Tip off for the game is set for 7 pm and the contest will be televised on the Big East Network.
