MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- The West Virginia University women’s basketball team (10-4, 0-2) plays host to top-ranked Connecticut (14-0, 1-0) Saturday, Jan. 10, at 7 p.m. at the WVU Coliseum.
The event is a "Dairy Mart Dollar Day" as fans can visit any Morgantown-area Dairy Mart to pick up a coupon good for one dollar admission to the game.
West Virginia is coming off a disappointing home loss to Cincinnati on Wednesday at the Coliseum, 61-55, while the Huskies are coming off an 83-37 victory in its BIG EAST opener at USF this past Tuesday.
UConn leads the all-time series by a 19-1 margin and the Mountaineers are looking for their first ever win against the Huskies, in BIG EAST play, and their first-ever win over the nation’s top-ranked team.
The contest will be televised on West Virginia PBS, with Connecticut Public TV taking the feed, with Hoppy Kercheval and Warren Baker on the call. MSN radio, with Travis Jones, will have the action on MSN affiliated stations.
