MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University women’s track and field team is set to host the WVU Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 10, in the Shell Building.
“This meet will be very low key; a rust-buster for our girls. We know that there will be some open and unattached runners out there with us. Our girls will compete, and compete hard, regardless of who is in attendance, “Coach Sean Cleary said.
A number of club teams, individuals from various schools and unattached athletes will participate in the meet, which begins at 9 a.m. with field events, while running events are set to begin at 10 a.m.
The indoor season is highlighted by the State Farm Games on Saturday Jan. 24, in Morgantown. The BIG EAST Indoor Championships follows on Feb. 21-22, in New York, and the Notre Dame Last Chance meet on March 6-7, in South Bend, Ind.
The NCAA Nationals takes place in College Station, Texas, on March 13-14.
