MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia and Connecticut have mutually agreed to a later kickoff time of 2 p.m., on Sunday, Oct. 12, to facilitate a live broadcast of the game by ESPNU.
“We are very excited ESPNU has decided televise our game with Connecticut,” says Head Coach Nikki Izzo-Brown. “Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium is a great venue for college soccer and fans across the country will be able to see two quality BIG EAST programs compete.”
West Virginia will have two other games televised by West Virginia Public Broadcasting. Those games are Sunday, Sept. 28, at 1 p.m., against Syracuse, and Sunday, Oct. 19, at 1 p.m., against Villanova.
The Huskies are one of six WVU opponents on this year’s slate to make the 2007 NCAA tournament – Connecticut, Georgetown, James Madison, Santa Clara, Tennessee and Virginia.
The Mountaineers open the 2008 season on Aug. 22, at 7 p.m., at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium against Towson.
