Wrestling: WVU to Skip Midlands Championships

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University wrestling team will skip the 2008 Midlands Wrestling Championships in Chicago, Ill., on Dec. 29-30.
The Mountaineers (2-1, 0-0) last faced then-ranked No. 15 Penn State on Dec. 14. Fifth-year seniors Kurt Brenner (174) and Dustin Rogers (HWT) and freshman Lance Bryson (184) all recorded victories.
WVU will continue its preparations for its first home dual meet of the season on Jan. 2 when it plays host to No. 9 Lehigh. The match is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. in the WVU Coliseum.
