On his senior season and last home game
Nothing has hit me in a long time. It’s starting to settle in and I’m just going to enjoy what I can. It’s more sweet than bitter. I’ve enjoyed everything about West Virginia. It’s gone a lot faster than what I thought. The days haven’t been shorter but time has flown by. People say that but you don’t realize it until you experience it.
I knew I wanted to be successful somehow but getting that degree has been the best success I’ve had since I’ve been here. That’s why my parents sent me here. If I leave here without that, than it’s a failed mission.
I don’t think I’ll be doing too much talking on Friday. There will probably be a lot more tears than words.
I’m going to miss my friends; some from on the field and some from off the field. The people I’ve met I will always remember and I’m grateful for them. Morgantown is a second home. I’ve spent four and a half years here.
On the USF-WVU game
They are a very talented team. They have athletes all over the field and 99 percent of the team is from Florida so they run around fast. They’ve had the upper hand the last two years but it’s a competitive game. Both teams are hard-working and would like to come out with a win.

On being a senior
It didn’t go fast when we were freshmen because you can’t wait until you’re a senior but now it’s already my senior year and I swear, it feels like last week that I just said it was going to take forever.
It’s been a great experience, especially with all of the guys I came in with.
I have reflected a little but with my roommate who graduated two years ago and we always talk about how the years flew by and he always brings up when I was recruited. It starts to hit you when you see the younger guys growing up. I grew up too and I certainly have come a long way.
On the USF-WVU series
It’s a great series because we play really hard against each other every year. Now we’ve been watching the film, getting ready for them and we want the outcome to be better than the last two years.

On his experiences
Once we’re done playing I think then I’ll be able to sit back and reflect on all of those things. I still have goals to meet out there. Being around my teammates and coaches, and being able to get close to those guys. You make a lot of friendships.
I think the locker room is the place I’ll miss the most because you get close to the guys you’re with here with and you get closer to the guys you came in with. When you spend four or five years with people you get close and I think that is what I’ll miss the most.
On his neck injury
I feel great and I feel 100 percent. They did another MRI and the swelling has gone down but I still have a bruised spine. It’s getting evaluated again at the end of the week.

On his last game at Mountaineer field
It’s going to be emotional. I think Saturday is going to be a very emotional game and I think I’ll probably cry during warm-ups and before the game and after the game. I can’t say I’m looking forward to it but it has to come so I will make the most of it.
It’s a series of moments that have happened over the years. I think later in life I’ll be able to look back and see some things but right now it’s a big blur.
On the possibility of moving onto the NFL
Who knows, hopefully. I will never have a normal job, I can tell you that right now. I can only hope but who knows what’s going to happen. I’m definitely at a crossroads in my life right now.

It’s gone fast. There have been ups and downs and you have to cherish every moment now. Time is dwindling down.
On reflecting on his redshirt freshman year
When you’re not playing, you just want to get on the field and that year is a very important for kids to get prepared mentally and physically.
On talking to the players Friday night
I’ve thought a lot about the things I’m going to say. I think the hotel room on Friday night I’ll just write down a list because there are so many things I want to touch on. There are a lot of things I want to say to all the players.
