Football: Linebacker Ineligible for Bowl

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University Football Coach Bill Stewart has announced that reserve linebacker Archie Sims will not participate in the 2008 Meineke Car Care Bowl for not meeting NCAA eligibility requirements.
Sims, who was hampered with injuries most of the season, saw limited action on the field, and was used mostly on special teams. He finished with seven tackles for the year.
Stewart will have no further comment at this time.
