Volleyball: Mountaineers Fall to Marquette

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - The West Virginia University volleyball team fell to BIG EAST foe Marquette this evening at the Al McGuire Center in Milwaukee, Wis.
The Golden Eagles (11-15, 5-8 BIG EAST) defeated the Mountaineers (7-20, 0-13 BIG EAST) in a 3-0 (25-22, 25-17, 25-19) match.
Junior Abby Raines led the team with 10 kills and three digs, while senior Tammy Wolf followed with eight kills and a .294 hitting percentage.
Freshman setter Kari Post led in assists with 18. She also recorded eight digs on the evening behind sophomore libero Bonnie West led who led in digs with nine.
The Mountaineers will end the 2008 season with a 2 p.m. match against Syracuse on Sunday, Nov. 16, at the Women’s Building, in Syracuse, N.Y.
