MORGANTOWN, W.VA. – The West Virginia University women’s soccer team fell a few spots but remained in the nation’s Top 15 in one collegiate soccer poll this week.
The Mountaineers checked in at No. 15 in the latest Soccer Buzz poll and moved to No. 18 in the Soccer America and National Soccer Coaches Association of America/adidas polls.
West Virginia (7-2-4, 2-1-2) is coming off a 0-1-1 weekend, the first time since 2005 that WVU did not win at least one game in consecutive BIG EAST contests during the regular season.
The Mountaineers begin a four-match homestand starting with Providence on Friday, Oct. 10. WVU makes its third televised appearance of the season on Sunday, Oct. 12, against Connecticut on ESPNU.
