Cross Country: WVU Ranked Seventh

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University cross country team is ranked No. 7 in the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Associations (USTFCCCA) Division I Women’s National Poll, released today.
The Mountaineers received 285 votes in the poll. Washington (357) took first place, followed by No. 2 Oregon (350), No. 3 Florida State (336), No. 4 Minnesota (320) and No. 5 Princeton (307). The Mountaineers are the second-highest ranked Mid-Atlantic region team, behind Princeton, and are the highest ranked BIG EAST squad in front of No. 13 Villanova.
Next up, the Mountaineers will race in the Penn State National Invitational in University Park, Pa. The race is set to begin at 10 a.m.
