Women's Basketball: WVU No. 12 in Coaches' Poll

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University’s women’s basketball team (14-3, 4-1) moved up two spots to No. 12, receiving 420 points, in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches’ Poll, released today.
Last week the Mountaineers, also ranked No. 12 nationally in the Associated Press Poll yesterday, were ranked No. 14 in the Coaches’ Poll with 367 points.
Six other BIG EAST teams are ranked in the top 25: No. 1 Connecticut, No. 5 Rutgers, No. 16 Notre Dame, No. 21 Pitt, No. 24 Syracuse and No. 25 DePaul.
No. 12/12 WVU returns to action Wednesday, Jan. 23, at 5:30 p.m. when it takes on Marshall (11-7, 3-2) in the Chesapeake Capital Classic at the Charleston Civic Center in Charleston, W.Va.
MSN radio with Travis Jones and Jay Jacobs will have the call while CSTV will air the contest nationally with West Virginia PBS carrying the contest throughout the state.
