Baseball: White Named Strength All-American

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University sophomore baseball player Adam White has been recognized by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as an All-American Strength and Conditioning Athlete.
The Phillipsburg, Pa., native has been a two-year starter in centerfield for head coach Greg Van Zant and was named a Freshman All-American by Collegiate Baseball in 2006. The 5-10, 195 lb., centerfielder is currently majoring in elementary education.
White joins eight other WVU athletes who were recognized by the NSCA this year. White joins Mountaineer football players Keilen Dykes, Marc Magro and Abraham Jones, women’s tennis player Natalia Prinz, wrestler Matt Holsopple, Kelsey Fowler of women’s soccer and gymnasts Janáe Cox and Jaime Gold.
The NSCA recognized 239 collegiate athletes from 165 schools this year for their dedication and proficiency regarding strength training and conditioning. This is the 28th year of the NSCA recognition program.
