Women’s Soccer: WVU To Face Kentucky

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The spring booking continues this weekend for the West Virginia University women’s soccer team with a trip to Lexington, Ky., on Saturday, April 21.
The Mountaineers will play a 90-minute match against the 2006 SEC Tournament Champion Kentucky Wildcats. Kickoff at the UK Soccer Complex is slated for 5 p.m.
“We are very excited to be playing against one of the best teams in the SEC conference," says head coach Nikki Izzo-Brown. “It will allow our coaching staff to see where we have developed this spring and where we still need to improve on.”
Saturday marks the fourth competition weekend for the Mountaineers this spring. This fall will be the 12th season for Izzo-Brown leading the West Virginia program.
