Men's Soccer: WVU to Play Louisville

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - The West Virginia University men’s soccer team (13-5-1, 7-3-1) will travel to Louisville (10-5-3, 6-3-2) in the quarterfinals of the BIG EAST tournament on Saturday, Nov. 10. Game time is set for 7 p.m., at Cardinal Stadium.
The winner of Saturday night’s match will face the winner of Connecticut and USF in the semifinals on Friday, Nov. 16, in Storrs, Conn. Last season, the Mountaineers advanced to the BIG EAST championship game, but fell to St. John’s 1-0. This year’s tournament marks the Mountaineers’ sixth appearance in the BIG EAST tournament since joining the conference in 1995.
The meeting between WVU and Louisville will be the third in the all-time series which began in 1995. The Mountaineers last played Louisville in Morgantown last season, earning a 2-1 victory. -ah-
