MSoc: WVU To Play Host To Virginia In NCAA Tourney

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. –The West Virginia University men’s soccer team (13-5-2) will play host to Virginia (12-7-2) on Wednesday, Nov. 28, at 7 p.m. at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium in the second round of the NCAA men’s soccer tournament.
The first 400 WVU students will be admitted to the game free of charge with a valid ID. The Mountaineer Manics are providing 200 student tickets and WVU men’s soccer supporter, Terry Kramer is sponsoring the additional tickets. Tickets for adults are $7, tickets for youth and students are $5 each. All tickets will be available at the gate on Wednesday.
The No. 18/15 Mountaineers are seeded No. 15 and received a first round bye in the NCAA tournament. UVa. defeated St. Peter’s 3-1 on Friday, Nov. 23, to advance to the second round. The winner of the match will face the winner of Furman/Wake Forest in the Sweet 16 this weekend.
WVU returns to the national tournament for the third consecutive year and 10th time in program history. This is the second straight year the Mountaineers have been seeded, both under Head Coach Marlon LeBlanc.
