Swimming and Diving: WVU Set for Home Meets

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams welcome BIG EAST foe Cincinnati on Friday, Nov. 2, at 6 p.m. at the WVU Natatorium.
Both Mountaineer teams are 3-1 on the season after defeating Georgetown on Oct. 20, at the McCarthy Pool in Washington, D.C., in their first BIG EAST match of the season. The men won the meet 143-88, while the women’s team won 160-81.
Friday’s meet will be the first match of the season for the Bearcats. Last season both Mountaineer squads defeated the Bearcats at the Keating Aquatic Center. The men took the meet 184-132, while the women dominated 201-114.
On Saturday, Nov. 3, the women’s team will play host to Marshall at the WVU Natatorium, in a 2 p.m. meet. The Herd is 2-4 on the season after falling to Duquesne this past weekend.
