MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University quarterback Patrick White was named Big East Conference offensive player of the week for his performance in West Virginia’s 55-14 win at Syracuse last Saturday.
White completed 12 of 15 passes for 148 yards and a touchdown and was also the game’s leading rusher with 89 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries. White left the game in the third quarter with a sprained shoulder and the Mountaineers comfortably ahead.
WVU teammate Keilen Dykes made the Big East honor roll for his 19-yard interception return for a touchdown against the Orange.
West Virginia (5-1) has this weekend off before facing Mississippi State on Saturday, Oct. 20, at Milan Puskar Stadium. There are no tickets available for that game.
