Volleyball: Mountaineers Fall To Villanova

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - The West Virginia University volleyball team fell to BIG EAST opponent Villanova this afternoon at the WVU Coliseum.
The Mountaineers (10-8, 1-4) fell to the Wildcats (12-6, 4-1) in a 3-2 (20-30, 27-30, 30-22, 31-29, 12-15) match.
Leading the Mountaineers was senior setter Kailee Goold who recorded a double-double with 48 assists and 17 digs. Senior outside hitter Abby Tevis also had a stand-out game with 24 kills and 17 digs, while freshman libero Bonnie West captured a career high six service aces.
The Mountaineers will return to action on Sunday, October 7, as they host Seton Hall at 2 p.m. Immediately following the match, the Mountaineers will be holding a free clinic for high school age and younger.
