Men's Soccer: WVU Travels to No. 3 Notre Dame

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The No. 13/21 West Virginia University men’s soccer team will travel to South Bend, Ind., to take on No. 3/3 Notre Dame on Saturday, Oct. 6. The Mountaineers and Fighting Irish have met on the field 11 times dating back to 1995. The Irish hold a 6-4-1 advantage over WVU with the Mountaineers edging Notre Dame 2-1 last season at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium.
The Mountaineers hold a record of 6-3 on the season, 2-2 in conference play. Last weekend’s loss against USF marked the ninth time this season where the Mountaineers’ fate has been decided by just one goal.
The Mountaineers went 1-1 at home last weekend as WVU defeated DePaul 1-0 on Friday, Sept. 28, but dropped a 1-0 double-overtime decision to No. 16 USF.
