MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University cross country team moved up five spots in the United States Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association Top 25 this week. The Mountaineers are ranked No. 14 after winning the program's first ever BIG EAST Championship on Oct. 27, in Louisville, Ky.
Other BIG EAST teams ranked include No. 15 Providence and No. 20 Georgetown. Villanova is receiving votes.
West Virginia next races at the Mid-Atlantic Regional in Bethlehem, Pa., on Nov. 10.
