Swimming: Mountaineers Fall to Penn State

MEET RESULTS
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University swimming and diving teams fell to Penn State this evening, at the McCoy Natatorium. The men lost 194-106 while the women fell 227-73.
Highlighting for the Mountaineers were senior Felipe Cunah and sophomore Kayla Andrews. Cunah took first place in both the 100 and 200 breaststroke events, stopping the clock at 57.58 and 2:05.21. Andrews was able to pull out wins in the 50 and 100 yard freestyle events with times of 26.37 and 50.32.
Sophomore Zoltan Povazsai also posted a win for the Mountaineers, taking first place in the 200 fee with a time of 1:41.52, while senior Nick Delic took first in the 100 free stopping the clock at 46.12.
The Mountaineers will return to action on Saturday, Oct 20, as they travel to swim against Georgetown, at the McCarthy Pool. Meet time is set for 2 p.m.
