Volleyball: Mountaineers Play Host To Pitt

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University volleyball team will play host to BIG EAST rival Pitt on Friday, Oct. 19, at the WVU Coliseum. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
The Mountaineers are 12-9, 3-5 on the season after going 1-1 on the road, falling to USF and defeating Georgetown this past weekend. Senior outside hitter Abby Tevis leads the Mountaineers this season with 307 kills and 216 digs, while senior setter Kailee Goold has 817 assists and 240 digs.
The Panthers (12-10, 5-3) are coming off a 3-1 win over Robert Morris on Tuesday. Pitt is led by senior outside hitter Diana Andreyko who has 327 kills and 189 blocks this season. Meagan Dooley, a 6-foot-1 middle blocker leads the Panthers in blocks with 94 on the season and averaging 1.17 per game.
Last season the Mountaineers fell to Pitt 3-0 at the WVU Coliseum.
