MORGANTOWN, W.Va.-The West Virginia University rifle team will travel to Columbus to face-off against Ohio State in the second match of the season on Sunday, Oct. 14. The match is set to begin at 9 a.m.
Last season, the squad defeated the Buckeyes 4547-4444 at the Mountaineer rifle range. The 103-point victory over OSU would be the first of three 100+ point wins for West Virginia last season.
Three Mountaineer shooters shot personal bests as the rifle team defeated NC State by a score of 4618-4506 on Oct. 6 at the WVU rifle range. The squad, under second year Head Coach Jon Hammond, are off to a 1-0 start for the second consecutive year.
