MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - West Virginia University head women’s soccer coach Nikki Izzo-Brown announced today the addition of one student-athlete for the 2006 season.
Follansbee, W.Va., native Jamie Kocher joins four others who previously signed with the Mountaineers for the upcoming season.
Kocher, the Valedictorian of her senior class at Brooke High School, is a first team all-state forward for head coach Elias T. Hannaoui. She earned all-OVAC honors in each of her four seasons with the Bruins, most recently being named OVAC player of the year. Kocher was twice voted most valuable offensive player by her teammates and helped lead Brooke to two regional and sectional championships.
Kocher is also a standout in track and basketball and was a Wendy’s High School Heisman state finalist.
She joins Miko Alley (Prichard, W.Va.), Carolyn Blank (Toms River, N.J.), Rachel Dahlstrand (Erie, Pa.) and Nicole Mailloux (Mississauga, Ontario) in the class of 2006.
