WALNUT, Calif. – The West Virginia University track team wrapped up their weekend in Walnut, Calif., at the Mt. SAC Relays on Saturday, April 15.
"It’s great to have some top results in some suspect weather conditions,” head coach Jeff Huntoon said. “We flew across the country and set numerous personal bests.”
Junior Jessica Czaikowski took fifth in the 100-meter hurdles at 13.36, an all-time personal best. Czaikowski’s time qualifies her for NCAA Regionals. USC’s Virginia Powell took first at 12.68.
Senior Jen Hall also qualified for NCAA Regionals with a new personal best at 3.82 meters in the pole vault.
The 4x100 relay squad of Junique Morris, Jamillah Nock, Shani Boone, and Czaikowski took first with a time of 45.72 seconds. The 4x100 relay team has now won all four meets they have competed in this season.
The Mountaineers return to Morgantown for their only home outdoor meet of the season on Saturday, April 22.
