MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - The West Virginia University women's tennis team travels to Washington, D.C., to face Georgetown on Saturday, April 1, at noon.
The Mountaineers (3-10, 2-3 BIG EAST) look to rebound after dropping three matches at the Lady Eagle Classic in Hattiesburg, Miss., last weekend.
"We are looking forward to getting back on the winning track this weekend against a much improved Hoya team," head coach Dan Silverstein said.
Georgetown comes into the match with a 2-5 record and is 0-1 in the BIG EAST. In its last outing on March 29, the Hoyas swept Mount St. Mary's 7-0.
"We have a special group of young women whom are ready to prove that WVU is still a threat in the Big East," Silverstein said.
West Virginia leads the series with Georgetown 14-2-0. Last season the Mountaineers downed the Hoyas 6-1 in Morgantown.
