MARIETTA, Ohio - West Virginia University senior distance runner Susan Davis traveled to Marietta, Ohio, Saturday, Feb. 25, to run in the Marietta Invitational at the Dyson Baudo Recreation Center.
Davis competed in the women's one mile run and finished second with a time of 4:46.05 to earn NCAA provisional honors. Davis finished second to former WVU national champion Megan Metcalfe, who ran unattached.
Davis' time is the fourth best individual indoor mile performance in school history behind Metcalfe, Kate Vermeulen, and Merissa Sexsmith.
