MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University football coach Rich Rodriguez announced to his team today at 3 pm that he will remain the coach of the Mountaineers. Rodriguez had been considering an offer to become the football coach at the University of Alabama.

MSNsportsNET.com will carry Rodriguez’s live news conference Friday night at 5:30 pm ET through CSTV All Access along with player reaction.

There will be two shows in May 2026, featuring the baseball and rowing head coaches at WVU.
