Football: Mozes Rimington Trophy Finalist

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University center Dan Mozes is one of six finalists for the Rimington Trophy presented to college football’s most outstanding center, it was announced Thursday.
Joining Mozes on the prestigious list is Michigan’s Mark Bihl, Ohio State’s Doug Datish, USC’s Ryan Kalil, Arkansas’ Jonathan Luigs and Rutgers’ Darnell Stapleton.
Mozes, a senior recently named to the AFCA All-America team, has helped the Mountaineers to a 9-2 record and a No. 15 national ranking. West Virginia has the nation’s No. 2-ranked offense and No. 3-ranked scoring offense.
The winner of the Rimington Trophy will be announced at The Home Depot College Football Awards show, broadcast live from Orlando, Fla., on ESPN Thursday, Dec. 7.
The winner of the Rimington Trophy is selected by determining the consensus All-American center pick from these four existing All-America teams: AFCA, Walter Camp Foundation, Sporting News and Football Writers Association.
The winner will be recognized at the Rimington Trophy presentation at the Rococo Theater in Lincoln, Neb., on Saturday, Jan. 13, 2007.
