MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – No. 4-ranked West Virginia travels to Mississippi State to take on the Bulldogs on Saturday, Oct. 7, for a non-conference game at Davis Wade Stadium (55,082) in Starkville, Miss. Kickoff is set for 2:30 pm ET.
The only live TV coverage will be pay-per-view in West Virginia for $29.95. Cable systems carrying the broadcast are Suddenlink, Time-Warner and Comcast. Contact your local cable provider for additional details.
The Mountaineers (4-0) took a charter flight from Clarksburg Friday morning and arrived in time for an afternoon workout in Starkville.

10 – WVU has 30 rushing touchdowns in its last TEN games dating back to last year.
9 – NINE West Virginia players have started at least 12 games heading into Saturday’s match up against Mississippi State. Leading the way is senior center Dan Mozes with 40 career starts.
8 – The Mountaineers are ranked EIGHTH in the country this week in total offense averaging 457 yards per game.
7 – West Virginia is spending is SEVENTH straight week in the Top 10 dating back to last year’s final poll.
6 – The Mississippi State defense has permitted less than 130 yards rushing in each of its last SIX games. Last week LSU managed just 108 yards rushing on 38 carries.
5 – The Mountaineers have had FIVE scoring plays covering 37 yards or longer. The longest scoring play from scrimmage this year was a 60-yard, Pat-White-to-Darius-Reynaud hook up against East Carolina.
4 – WVU has had FOUR scoring drives covering 81 yards or longer. The longest scoring drive of the year was a 96-yard, 10-play TD drive against Maryland.
3 – West Virginia’s backfield TRIO of Steve Slaton, Patrick White and Owen Schmitt have accounted for 75.2 percent of the team’s rushing yardage this season.
2 – The Mountaineers have the SECOND-best winning streak in the country with 11 consecutive wins, trailing only Ohio State with 12.
1 – West Virginia is facing its first regular season Southeastern Conference opponent since 1979 when it played Kentucky.
