Cross Country: WVU Travels to National Open

Morgantown, W.Va. – The West Virginia University cross country team will travel to University Park, Pa., for the National Open on Saturday, Oct. 7, at 10:00 a.m.
The squad, led by head coach Sean Cleary, is competing for the first time in two weeks. The Mountaineers last ran in the Spiked Shoe Invitational at University Park on Sept. 23. Freshman Keri Bland led the team to a 12th place finish with a time of 22:01.80 (11th place overall).
Over 20 schools will be running in the Open.
The Mountaineers will next travel to Kent, Ohio for the Golden Flash Invitational on Oct. 21.
