Women's Tennis: 2005-06 Captains Announced

MORGANTOWN, W.Va., - West Virginia University tennis head coach Dan Silverstein announced today the selections of sophomore Natalia Prinz and junior Kelly Walsh as team captains for the 2005-06 season.

Prinz, a native of Tczew, Poland, played no lower than the No. 2 spot last year as a freshman. Walsh, a native of Chalfont St. Giles, England, returns as a captain after rotating between the No. 1 and 2 spots last season.

Both the coaches as well as the players voted Prinz and Walsh captains.

"It's a great honor for Natalia and Kelly because not only were they selected by the coaching staff, but their peers selected them as well," Silverstein said. "I know these ladies will do a great job."
