MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Three West Virginia University football players were selected to the CollegeFootballNews.com preseason all-Big East team, announced recently.
Making the first team for the Mountaineers were junior offensive guard Dan Mozes, senior free safety Jahmile Addae and senior strong safety Mike Lorello.
Mozes has been a two-year starter for the Mountaineers who earned first team all-Big East status last year as a sophomore. Mozes also captured Freshman All-America honors by The Sporting News and is a Lombardi Award candidate this year.
Addae captured first-team all-Big East honors after making 59 tackles and a pair of interceptions in 2004. Lorello secured second-team all-Big East honors after producing 66 tackles, third best on the team. Both Addae and Lorello are Thorpe Award candidates.
Making the CollegeFootballNews.com preseason all-Big East second team were offensive linemen Garin Justice and Jeremy Sheffey and defensive lineman Ernest Hunter.
The web site also previews the conference race, lists the conference’s top 30 players and lists its top 5s for the league.
The Mountaineer Ticket Office is still accepting season ticket order for the 2005 campaign. Mini season tickets, FunZone tickets and Virginia Tech single-game tickets were halted last week. Tickets can be order by calling the Mountaineer Ticket Office toll-free at 1-800-WVU GAME or by logging onto WVUGAME.com.
