MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- The WVU Alumni Association announced that its travel package for West Virginia's NCAA Tournament game against Texas Tech is sold out. The trip, offered through National Travel, will leave Thursday, March 24, and return after the final games are played on Saturday, March 26.
The WVU Alumni Association, Mountaineer Athletic Club and the University Fund of the WVU Foundation will have a pep rally for alumni and friends from 5 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. at the Sheraton Old Town Hotel in Albuquerque. The Mountaineer mascot, cheerleaders and pep band as well as special guests will be on hand to greet fans.
In addition to the contingency of alumni and friends traveling to New Mexico, alumni chapters throughout the country, including West Virginia, New York, Tampa, San Diego and Texas, will be hosting game watching events in support of the Mountaineers.
