MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- West Virginia University sport psychologist Dr. Ed Etzel has been selected to participate in the first-ever NCAA “Psychological Health Issues of the Collegiate Student-Athlete” seminar February 4-5 in Indianapolis.
Etzel, a former WVU rifle coach and Olympic gold medalist, will be presenting a panel on ethics, along with Dr. Sam Maniar of Ohio State (a WVU counseling psychology graduate).
The NCAA is hosting the conference to provide psychologists with defined roles within collegiate athletic departments to investigate and facilitate efforts within this underserved aspect of the health care of college athletes.
