Women's Soccer: Weekly Rankings

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - In rankings announced Tuesday afternoon, the West Virginia University women's soccer team (3-1-0) remained steady in the national polls.
The Mountaineers, who went 1-1-0 last week, climbed one spot to No.16 in the SoccerBuzz rankings, fell one spot to No. 16 in the NSCAA poll, and maintained their place in the Soccer America slate (No.21) for the week of Sept. 7.
West Virginia is rated No. 16 by the NSCAA and No. 16 and No. 21 by SoccerBuzz and Soccer America, respectively.
WVU's spot in the latest round of Top 25 rankings marks the 23rd consecutive week, dating back to September 23, 2002, that the Mountaineers have been among the nation's Top 25 schools.
The Mountaineers return to action on Friday, Sept. 10, when they play host to Arizona at 7 p.m., at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium. West Virginia will then play host to James Madison on Sunday, Sept. 12, at 1 p.m.
