MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- Home of the West Virginia men's and women's soccer teams, Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium will be dedicated on Sunday, September 5, 2004.
The ceremony, scheduled to begin at approximately 1:30 p.m., will include remarks from WVU President David C. Hardesty, Jr., Director of Athletics Ed Pastilong, and former women's player and current women's assistant coach Nikki Garzon.
The dedication will honor the generous support of S.J. "Dick" Dlesk, Milan Puskar, Bill Maloney and Dan Brown.
Following the dedication ceremony, the No. 15 West Virginia women's team will face No. 10 Virginia (kickoff is set for 2 p.m.). The WVU men's team will take on Mount Saint Mary's in its home-opener at 4:30 p.m., that same day.
Festivities surrounding the event also include a pre-game hospitality tent and a barbecue for current players, alumni and their families. An alumni game immediately following the conclusion of the men's match rounds out the day.
Tickets for the event are $5 and can be purchased at the stadium on game day beginning at noon. Gates will also open at noon.
