Men's Soccer: WVU Set to Host No. 9 Irish

Morgantown, W.Va. - The West Virginia University men's soccer team hosts No. 9 Notre Dame on Thursday, Sept. 23, at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
The Mountaineers (3-3-0) are coming off of a tough 2-0 BIG EAST loss to Connecticut Sunday, Sept. 19, in Storrs, Conn. WVU controlled play most of the match but two let downs led to Husky goals.
The Irish (4-1-1) are coming off of a 4-1 victory over Georgetown in their conference opener on Sept. 19. Their only loss of the season came at the hands of No. 1 Indiana on Sept. 15.
Last season the Mountaineers lost a close 1-0 match to Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind. The Irish eventually went on to win the BIG EAST tournament and lead the all-time series between the teams 6-2-0. The last win for WVU came in 1999.
