Rowing: WVU Heads to Knecht Cup

MORGANTOWN, W.Va.- The West Virginia University women's rowing team travels to Camden, N.J., for the Knecht Cup, on April 17-18 on the Cooper River.
Coach Nancy LaRocque's team is coming off of a seventh place finish at the GW Invitational Crew Classic in varsity eight competition. The women will look to repeat as champions of the Knecht Cup this weekend when they hit the water at 9:48 a.m. on Saturday in their preliminary race.
Also racing for the Mountaineers this weekend is the novice four boat and the second varsity eight boat. The novice boat begins their preliminary race at 8:30 a.m., while the second varsity eight takes to the course at 11:00 a.m.
In each of the preliminary heats, the top three boats advance to the semi-finals, where the grand final and petite final participants will be determined.
