Gymnastics: Six Earn Academic Honors

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - Six members of the West Virginia University gymnastics team have earned 2004 East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) all-academic honors.
In order to be named to the EAGL all-academic team, student-athletes must have a grade point average of 3.00 or higher in the two previous semesters.
The following Mountaineer gymnasts have been honored:
Janae Cox, Fr., 4.00, elementary education
Jessica Bartgis, Sr., 3.15, athletic coaching education
Aimee Brown, Fr., 3.75, general studies
Casey DePerro, So., 3.00, exercise physiology
Alyssa DeSantis, So., 3.00, pre-business
Lequita Williams, Jr., 3.73, exercise physiology
West Virginia (13-6-1) returns to action on Saturday, March 20, when they travel to Pitt's Petersen Events Center for the EAGL Championship meet at 6 p.m.
