MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University women’s tennis team returns to the court this weekend for a three-game home stand beginning Friday, Feb. 20, at 11 a.m. against St. John’s at the Oxford Athletic Club in Monroeville, Pa.
West Virginia (2-1) returns home for the first time since defeating Wright State, 7-0, in its home opener on Jan. 28. The Mountaineers last competed on Feb. 7 when they defeated St. Bonaventure, 6-1, in St. Bonaventure N.Y.
Aside from Friday’s match, West Virginia is scheduled to host George Mason at 11 a.m. on Saturday and Dayton at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
“The girls have worked extremely hard this week to prepare for this three game stretch,” coach Dan Silverstein says. “It was nice to have a week off for practicing purposes but as a team we are really looking forward to getting back in action.”
