Men's Soccer: Pitchkolan Honored By BIG EAST

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – West Virginia University senior defender Aaron Pitchkolan was chosen to the third team all-BIG EAST on Friday, Nov. 11, at the annual conference awards banquet in Piscataway, N.J.
The Aurora, Colo., native has started all 19 matches in 2004, anchoring a defense that has allowed only 0.82 goals per game. Pitchkolan also led the defense to only allowing 16 goals through 19 games. Last season the defense allowed 26 goals.
The Mountaineers also had seven team members selected as BIG EAST academic all-stars. WVU players named academic all-stars on the evening were goalkeepers Adam Shutler and Nick Noble, midfielders Travis Hutchinson, Ashraf Ahmad, Cole Beasley, Matt Anstey and Bernard Ouassa.
The No. 17 Mountaineers return to action on Friday, Nov. 12, when they face No. 21 UConn in the semifinals of the BIG EAST tournament at Yurcak Field in Piscataway, N.J., at 5 p.m.
