Rifle: Two Home Matches This Weekend

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University rifle team returns to action for the first time in three weeks when it hosts a pair of matches at the Mountaineer Rifle Range this weekend.
WVU welcomes Mississippi for a Great America Rifle Conference match on Saturday, Nov. 13, and non-conference opponent Texas Christian on Sunday, Nov. 14. Both matches will begin at 8 a.m.
The Mountaineers (0-2, 0-1) are coming off a 4645-4552 setback at Army on Oct. 23 in their GARC opener.
The Rebels’ last action came Nov. 6 with a 4590-4515 win over Tennessee-Martin in non-league action. Ole Miss (2-2, 1-2) will compete at the Walsh Invitational in Cincinnati on Friday before traveling to Morgantown. TCU (0-2) last shot on Nov. 6 in an air rifle only match losing to Nebraska, 2310-2199.
West Virginia is 2-0 all-time vs. Ole Miss having defeated the Rebels on Nov. 23, 2002, at West Point, N.Y., and at home on Nov. 4, 2001, while the Mountaineers face TCU for the first time in team history.
