Men's Soccer: WVU Travels to Providence

Morgantown, W.Va. - The West Virginia University men's soccer team travels to Providence, R.I., Saturday, Oct. 16, to face BIG EAST rival Providence at 1 p.m.
The Mountaineers (7-6-0) are coming off of a 2-1 come from behind victory at Robert Morris. Geoff Cameron and WVU leading goal scorer Dan Stratford scored a goal a piece to lead the team to victory.
Providence (0-10-0) is still in search of its first win in 2004. The Friars have dropped their first ten matches including five conference games. Providence has been outscored 21-4 by its opponents and have been shutout eight times.
Last season the Friars defeated the Mountaineers 1-0 in Morgantown. The teams have played eight games against one another with each winning four of the contests.
WVU returns home on Saturday, Oct. 23, when it hosts Villanova at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
