Gymnastics: WVU Ranked No. 12

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University’s gymnastics team is ranked No. 12 in the nation in this week’s GymInfo rankings released late Monday.
This week’s rankings are based on a team’s highest score so far this season.
WVU (3-2) is also ranked sixth in the nation on balance beam, tied for 18th on uneven bars and tied for 22nd on vault.
Several Mountaineers are also ranked in individual events. Freshman Janáe Cox is tied for 20th nationally in the all-around. Junior Carri Nagle and senior Jessica Bartgis are tied for 14th on uneven bars while freshman Cheryl Goldenfield is tied for 17th on floor exercise.
WVU is back in action, Friday, January 23, when it hosts No. 16 Denver and EAGL rival Pitt, at 8:00 p.m., at the WVU Coliseum.
