Wrestling: Nine Ranked In Top Five Of EWL

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University has nine wrestlers ranked in the latest Eastern Wrestling League (EWL) poll as released by the league website.
Senior Joe Clarke (141), sophomore Matt Lebe (157) and junior Greg Jones (184) all received the No. 1 ranking in their respective weight classes.
Other Mountaineer grapplers listed include senior Mike Torriero (149) who is ranked second. A pair of juniors, Matt Daddino (197) and Brent Miller (285), hold third place rankings.
Senior Casey Brewster (125) is ranked fourth, along with freshman Zac Fryling (165) who is tied for fourth. The final ranking goes to Seth Lisa (133) who is tabbed fifth.
The EWL ranks the top five wrestlers in each of the ten weight classes. WVU was selected to win the league title in the preseason poll released by the EWL.
