JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Mountaineer football fans can get up to speed on West Virginia’s preparation for the 2004 Toyota Gator Bowl by watching Mountaineer Magazine’s half-hour special Monday night on stations throughout West Virginia.
Tony Caridi, Laura Baker, Hoppy Kercheval and Dwight Wallace are on site at the Marriott Sawgrass to review the team’s first three days in Jacksonville and begin to break down WVU’s rematch against Maryland.
Mountaineer coach Rich Rodriguez will also stop by to give his thoughts on the team’s preparation up to this point.
Stations carrying Monday night’s 7 pm show are WVFX in Clarksburg, WCHS in Charleston, WOAY in Oak Hill, WTOV in Steubenville, Ohio and WJAL in Chambersburg, Pa.
A second, more comprehensive hour-long show, will air on Wednesday night, Dec. 31, at 7 pm on the same stations.

"I like where we're staying and I like where we are practcing at," he said. "The few activities scheduled for them have been good and they've had some free time to sit down and relax.
"The neat part about a bowl is the entire program is living together for a week," he added. "Some leaders emerge, personalities emerge and your team gets a little closer. That's one of the best things about bowl games."
"Our goal always, first and foremost, is to win the league," he said. "We want to win all of the games, but we focus and recruit on what we have to do to win our league. I think that's helped us so far.
"Just because we have a couple of good programs leave doesn't mean the competition is going to be less," he continued. "Eventually you will see the Big East be as strong as it is right now."
