Football: WVU 24th in AP Poll

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia moved up one spot in the Associated Press Top 25 poll released Sunday.
The Mountaineers, ranked 25th last week, moved up to 24th after defeating Syracuse 34-23 Saturday in the Carrier Dome. WVU, 7-4, is the only team with four losses ranked in the Top 25.
WVU has 203 poll points -- just two points shy of No. 23 Oklahoma State with 205 points.
West Virginia just missed cracking the USA Today/ESPN Coaches Top 25 Poll finishing 26th with 117 points. No. 25 Bowling Green has 140 poll points.
Miami (10th), Pitt (20), Virginia Tech (21) are Big East teams ranked in the AP Poll; Miami (10), Virginia Tech (20) and Pitt (21) are also ranked in the Coaches Poll.
