Women's Cross Country: WVU Travels to Paul Short

The West Virginia University women's cross country team will travel to Lehigh University on Saturday, Oct. 4, to take part in the Paul Short Classic in Bethlehem, Pa.
The Mountaineers (2-0) take the road for the second week in a row after winning the Lock Haven Invitational on Sept. 27.
WVU finished first, second, third, fourth, sixth, seventh and fourteenth overall in last weekends match, taking their second team title in as many matches.
Leading the way for WVU was All-American Megan Metcalfe (21:16.06), Tara Struyk (21:20.01), Devon Plesuk (22:20.60), Jennifer Kemp (22:26.25), Jennifer Davis (22:38.83), Rachel Carden (22:43.72) and Susan Davis (23.29.09).
This weekends match will be the last tune-up for the Mountaineers before traveling to Pre-Nationals at Northern Iowa University on Saturday, Oct. 18.
The Women's 6K College Invitational Championship Race at the Paul Short Classic is set to begin at approximately 10:45 a.m.
